Students really enjoyed the science fair this year where they got to show off their science skills to the judges from the local high schools.
There was nice work done by all.
On Monday, April 30th, Mr. David Cuneo, a trial attorney, visited both 8th grade classes to give them an overview of the legal system. The 8th grade is currently studying an informative essay on the Supreme Court case Brown vs The Board of Education.
Mr. Cuneo gave a brief overview of the case, explaining what the case was about and why it was heard by the Supreme Court. He then gave an overview of the legal system and answered students questions about law and becoming a lawyer.

Everyone is so excited to have the chance to use this new science lab and the students are so proud to have the opportunity to be the first to use this. The students and teachers have been waiting in anticipation for awhile to get the chance to be in there. Each one for a different reason but the bottom line is that we can offer everyone a chance to learn in a new and exciting way. Everyone will be able to inquire and question on their own individual level and as teachers we can guide them to understand science in a whole different light and to build on their questions for a lifelong search in life. We can also give them the chance to be a step ahead of other students in high school as they learn and sharpen the new lab skills that they have had the opportunity to acquire in grade school. It will be an exciting journey which we are excited to take together and it is just one of the many reasons that St. Peter School is the best.
