The 6th 7th and 8th grades have begun discussing the importance of the Research Process for their Science Fair Projects. Over the last several weeks we investigated projects that would interest us, and disussed finding general information about our projects that would help us carry out the process. In lesson 1 we discussed investigative projects and testable questions, and the three variables that need to be applied. For lesson 2 we created a sample background research plan, applying question words to key words from our testable question, so that we can come up with relevant questions we would need to have the answers to in order to support our project and answer any questions about the project that may arise from fellow classmates, teachers or judges. lesson 3 was about creating a Bibliography or Works Cited page, each student will need to hand in a bibliography/works cited page with their Science Fair Report.
