Mission

From Saint Peter School

Our mission is to teach, nurture, and model Gospel values in the Catholic tradition within the St. Peter School Community.

St. Peter School was founded in 1927 and continues today as a parish school from pre-school level through grade eight. Curriculum and policies of the Camden Diocese, as well as those created by the administration and faculty, are implemented. The St. Peter School Community celebrates the Eucharist together weekly and nurtures a spirit of prayer throughout the school day.

St. Peter School exists to convey the message of the Gospel and to empower children to make choices based on gospel values. The resulting faith formation will enable students to respect themselves, others and to treasure all as God’s gifts. Service is viewed as a way of life and is encouraged on all levels.

Individual excellence is promoted by the faculty as an attainable and necessary goal within the realms of each individual student’s development. We champion a superior learning environment that integrates technology and artistic expression.

We commit ourselves to the teaching ministry of the Church as we follow the motto of St. Lucy Filippini: “Go and Teach the Word of God.”
