Teacher of the Year Recognition Program

The St. Peter School Board (SPSB) is pleased to present a new "Teacher of the Year" program. The SPSB will select a “Teacher of the Year” recipient for a teacher of any grade level. Students, former students, parents, colleagues, administrators, or members of the general public may nominate teachers. The "Teacher of the Year" award winner will be announced at the end of the school year. Recipients will be celebrated in our community and their name will be posted on the “Teacher of the Year” Perpetual Plaque. Nominations due by May 15, 2012. The recipient will be announced at the end of the school year. Nomination forms are available on the St. Peter School website and at the school office.

Rowan Engineering Workshop

Rowan University is hosting one-day workshops for middle school students this summer to get kids excited about the world of engineering. The workshops introduce students to the challenges of engineering through fun hands-on projects. There are separate workshops for boys and girls. The on-line registration deadline is May 11th.

Our School Received Middle States Accreditation!

St. Peter School Faculty and Staff have been engaging in a self-study since September 2009 for the Middle States Reaccreditation process. The protocol Designing Our Future for Catholic Schools has been used as the guide for self-study.

Nutrition Information

Our PTA recently hosted a Nutritional Information Night for parents and faculty. It was well attended and very informative! We have posted the powerpoint presentation along with other materials for those that were unable to attend the meeting.

Former St. Peter Student is “The Hawk”

Congratulations to Tim Higgins, now a senior at St. Joseph’s University. Tim was chosen to be “The Hawk” - the mascot for the St. Joseph’s Basketball Team. Social Networking Presentation

At a general PTA meeting,our school counselor presented a very informative and eye-opening session on Social Networking. At the end of her presentation, she compiled a list of tips for parents to help keep our children safe. This reference sheet also provides links to privacy information for various social networking sites and resources for bullying. Check it out — you will definitely learn some valuable information!
