Track & Field
In 2010, St. Peter School joined the Camden County Catholic Track League, which was comprised of twelve teams from Catholic Schools in our area. We competed for the first time in the spring of 2010 with 77 St. Peter school athletes in six regular season meets, the Championship Meet and the Meet of Champions.
Since then the track team has successfully won 4 Catholic league championships, 2011 boys/girls 2012 boys/girls and 2013 girls division. 2014 saw the league go to 11 schools and we moved to the B division. Once again St. Peter’s took the division championship for both Boys and Girls!
We are proud to have many of our former SPS athletes competing at the high school and now college level!
We would like to invite every 3rd-8th grade student in our school and parish to come out and be a part of our track team!
Practice Schedule
Practices begin in March and the meets begin in early April and occur over six consecutive Saturdays from 9am-12pm. We compete in the 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, 4 x 100m relays, long jump and shot-put.
All registered athletes who attend practices have the opportunity to participate in every regular season meet. Each year we plan to enter a Senior Boy and Senior Girl relay team into the qualifying meet for the Penn Relays, held at Franklin Field.
* Reminder – Every athlete in 6th thru 8th grade must have a current complete Physical to participate on the track team.
