Between 9th grade PSAT Testing at @CamdenCatholic and a school holiday, we've had a few alumni come back to visit recently! Of course Mrs. Leach had to give them a late pass....And Mrs. Tell collected them 🤣

4th grade students working on comic strips in Spanish. Working very hard to learn more vocabulary and use it in everyday conversations. Learning while having fun is the best.

The Middle School Friday Special is a rotation of different non-credit skill development classes. In Life Skills with Mrs. Pearson, we're learning how to set a table properly, basic cooking skills, how to wash dishes without wasting water, and simple sewing! #SouthJerseyCatholicSchools
Third grade science - learning about plants. Roots gather the nutrients, stems transport them to the leaves, and the leaf "factories" make food for the plant!

1st & 4th Grade reading buddies📖💚💛💜
The new SPS #stemLab is #Kindergarten Approved! Today we're talking structural design, and building UP! ⬆️👍🏽

Monday Morning Magic ✨September 30 - Special Edition! The gym floor has been removed, with the OG floor in place -- Mrs. O'Callaghan remembers that floor from when she went to school here! We also welcomed our Pre-K students for the first time this year. They'll be joining us once a month from now on 🤗
Only Kindergarten had perfect attendance this morning. Second grade wins the on-time donut drawing this week! 🍩
Mrs. O’Callaghan thanked the 8th graders for their help in moving chairs for the parish's visit with Co-Adjutor Bishop Williams! 300 chairs to the gym on Wednesday, and then moving all of them back on Friday... whew😅
Virtues Awards - Mrs. Roseboro acknowledged Ava for PRUDENCE - knowing her sweatshirt was not part of the dress code, and taking it off before she was asked. Miss Marrazzo awarded Marie for her FAITH, for being the only girl to volunteer to say the Rosary for the whole school on the announcements last week. 🙏🏽
Ennyd gave an award to Mr. Keith for his PRUDENCE, because he always knows what needs to be fixed around the school.🛠️
And Mrs. Pearson recognized the whole choir for their FORTITUDE--and singing the National Anthem so well at the Phillies Game! 🎶
Our Pre-K students earned their first Virtue Awards too! Mrs. Terry recognized Cillian for being positive and friendly to all his classmates, and Mrs. Viola awarded Natalie for always sharing her toys and playing well with everyone.🧸
No Saints Circles this week — Evacuation drill instead! Practicing so we remember what to do in case there's an emergency in the school. Thanks Merchantville School for letting us use your auditorium, and to our friends from the Merchantville Police Department for helping us get there safely! And now we're back and ready for another great week!
Catch the full video of the St. Peter School Choir singing the National Anthem at the Phillies game! Be sure to watch to the end for some classic Phanatic hijinks 😂
Let's go Phillies!

Friday Mass September 27, 2024. Ecclesiastes Chapter 3: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted ... a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance."
Father Earnest reminds us now is our time to study, to learn, and to grow! Every season of our lives comes with challenges, but every season also comes with blessings. Thank you 5th grade for your leadership!

#tbt Do you remember this? Cursive writing is not a lost art--it's an important fine motor skill that helps with hand-eye coordination and even memory! Here we have St. Peter 3rd graders building those cursive muscles!

St. Peter School was honored with a visit from Bishop Dennis J. Sullivan, Bishop of Camden, the first week of school. The St. Peter School Choir sang, and Bishop Sullivan led us in prayer, asking God to bless our students this year. He also asked quite a number of our students what they did on their summer vacations. We had no idea our students were so well-traveled!
The Catholic Star Herald interviewed a few of our 8th grade students, and Miss M, our Kindergarten teacher. Read the full article here! https://catholicstarherald.org/students-welcomed-back-to-school-with-prayers-special-guests/

Miss Marrazzo gives us an introduction to Hispanic Heritage month. Happy Independence Day to Costa Rica 🇨🇷, Nicaragua 🇳🇮, El Salvador 🇸🇻, Guatemala 🇬🇹, and Honduras 🇭🇳. We'll be celebrating in our classrooms with various activities throughout the month! (6th grade celebrated already by getting down to Mrs. Pearson's playlist...)
Cross-Country Coach Miss Campanell congratulated Jordan for placing in our first invitational meet of the year--14th out of 138! 🏃🏾♂️
Mrs. Roseboro thanks the Saints who washed cars, held signs, and stayed all afternoon to raise $1200 for St. Peter Athletics at the car wash yesterday! And special thanks to Falco, Caruso and Leonard funeral home for generously loaning us their parking lot 🚗🧽🪣 💵
Virtue Award highlights - Mrs. Weed acknowledged Liam and Ava for JUSTICE for always making sure everyone has everything they need. 4th grader Aaliyah and 5th grader Brenden both earned awards for PRUDENCE, each for cleaning up a (different) mess without being asked! Mrs. Pearson honored Aubrey and Bianca for their CHARITY for helping with the St. Peter Rising Stars Auditions on Friday. And Mrs. O'Callaghan overheard Jaeliana and Freya saying the Grace Before Meals as they went to retrieve their class's lunch, and gave them an award for their FAITH 🙏
Saints Circles: Mrs. O'Callaghan reminds us of the second reading from Sunday Mass - James 2: 14-18. Faith + Works = Honoring God's Love. Our faith is a gift from God. We show our thanks for that faith by helping others. What is one way we will help others this week?
- Clean my desk at the end of the day
- Staying quiet when teachers are teaching
- Do the dishes for my mom
- Help other people study
- Give someone a compliment
- Helping our new students and teachers find their way around.
And with that, we bachata off to another great week at SPS! 🕺🏾
